About Us
The retreat is brought to you by Dr Claire Plumbly from Plum Psychology and Dr Rosie Gilderthorp from Psychology Business School.
We got together to create the Psychologists’ Business Retreat because we know how isolating and frenetic growing a successful practice alongside all the other commitments can feel. We found ourselves craving a moment of calm to think through the ideas racing around in our heads at the same time as desperately wanting to connect with others who are in the thick of it too.
So we created the retreat we wanted to attend!
Between us, we have years of experience in independent practice and have launched associate practices, group programmes, online courses, workshops, books and now…retreats! We know it is possible to create a business that allows you to live your values while also increasing your income.
You just need the time and headspace to plan it properly so join us in Somerset to create the perfect environment for your inner creative entrepreneur to flourish!

FAQs

Yes, when we send you your payment link you can choose Klarna at the checkout and split the payments.
Do you offer refunds?
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds as we will already have paid suppliers but if an emergency comes up and you can’t attend please let us know and we will do all we can to help you sell your ticket to someone else.
What's the accommodation like?
In a word? Beautiful. If you book a private room, you will either be in a beautiful room with an ensuite in a farmhouse, or a private shepherd’s hut with views of the sea. If you opt to share with a friend, you will relax in a twin room with two single beds in the farmhouse, with a shared bathroom. You can see some lovely pics of the site and accommodation here.
Where is it?
The Old Rectory is a 30 min drive from Taunton train station. We will organise a group cab to and from Taunton station based on when most trains are getting in. We will sort out the time of the cab will be arranged nearer the time when we know what time everyone’s trains arrive. Driving is also very convenient as there is plenty of parking at the venue. Address: Old Rectory House, Sea Lane, Kilve, Somerset, TA5 1EG.
